While all of the above tools and supplies are good for a SHTF and Survival situation, it is heavily recommended to stock up on ammunition, while like we said in the Rimfire vs Centerfire page that .22 Rimfire ammunition is only certified for two (2) years meaning that it is not guaranteed to work after that time, I know individuals who have boxes of ammo that have been sitting on a shelf in their basement for 30+ years and the ammunition is working fine. Should civilisation take a massive turn and the financial system worldwide were to collapse, people will go back to bartering and trading - being an individual with tens of thousands of spare .22LR ammunition is ideal not only for yourself but for trading as well!
